Wedding Tuxedos
Wedding tuxedos are formal suits for men including a jacket with satin lapels and trousers with a satin stripe down the outer side of each leg. There is also a tuxedo shirt and accessories which can consist of a necktie, ascot, vest, cummerbund, cufflinks and handkerchief accompanied by complimentary socks and shoes. There are a few other styles of men's formal wear that are not actually tuxedos, they are Cutaway Jackets and Stroller Jackets.
Tuxedo jackets generally come in four styles. They are:
Single Breasted Tuxedos
Single breasted refers to the button grouping which is in a single line on the front of the jacket. Typically if you wear a one button single breasted tuxedo, you wear the jacket open at all times. For the tuxedo jacket with more than one button, etiquette tells us that you must button every button except the bottom. There are exceptions to this rule but it should be followed for wedding photos.
Double Breasted Tuxedos
Double breasted tuxedos have two rows of buttons on the front of the jacket. The overlap of a double breasted jacket is much wider than the single breasted. Double breasted coats must be worn closed at all times. When buttoning these jackets, notice that there is a button on the inside which needs to be buttoned as well as the outside. The inside button helps the tuxedo jacket keep the right form. On the outside you will usually find one or two buttons to fasten and up to six total non-functioning buttons which are used for style.
Tail Coat or Full-dress Tuxedos
A tail-coat, more formally known as a Full-dress tuxedo, is a waist length tuxedo jacket that is cut sharply in the front and has a pleated tail in the back. Tail jackets in the popular single breasted version do not have functional buttons. Depending on the lapel of the jacket there are two to six non-functional buttons. Tails tuxedo accessories are very specific. You should wear either a cummerbund and tie or a height adjustable vest and tie. Canes and top hats are optional.
Eaton Tuxedos
An Eaton tuxedo is a waist coat with a satin lapel. It resembles a tail-coat without the tails. All other aspects of the Eaton jacket are the same as the tail coat tuxedo.
Finding wedding tuxedos online allows you a great selection and unbeatable prices. You can actually buy a tux online cheaper than you can rent from a local shop. You can easily pay $200 to $300 to rent a tuxedo. Most men need a tux or at least a nice suit on occasion. It makes sense to buy one that can be worn more than once instead of renting, only wearing it once and paying more for it.
When you shop online, you can be in the comfort of your own home without pushy sales people.
You can mix and match tuxedo accessories with the click of a button. You are not limited to a few colors or designs that may be actually in the store.
This makes it easy for the bride to choose the style and color to go with the theme of the wedding. For example, you can view different vests and mix them with different shirts. You can even pick out the texture of the clothing. By doing this, you can create suits that no one else has ever seen.
These are great reasons to shop for wedding tuxedos online.
