Formal Wedding Party Attire

Bride’s Attire
The bride usually wears a long white gown, chapel train, gloves and an optional fingertip length veil during the day. During the evening the veil is longer. Very formal would require the bride to have a full length veil and extended cathedral train.

Groom’s Attire
The groom usually wears a black or grey cutaway or tailcoat in the daytime. Ascots, gloves, striped trousers and high collared or wing collared shirts are appropriate. A formal evening wedding would require the groom to wear patent leather shoes, a waistcoat, white bow tie and black tailcoat. Calvin Klein and Hugo Boss offer exceptional formal tailcoats for both daytime and evening weddings.

The bridesmaids’ usually wear dresses of similar length to the bride. There is usually a maid or matron of honor, 4-10 bridesmaids, a flower girl and a ring bearer are optional.

Groomsmen Attire

Here are more suggestions to continue your formality.

Flowers: Think white roses, white orchids, stephanotis, classic flowers.

Favors: A bottle of wine or an engraved silver key chain.

Invitations: An engraved invitation on a heavy card stock.

Music: Small orchestra or a standards band.

Setting: A country club, museum, ballroom.

Transportation: Drive away in a vintage Rolls Royce, use black stretch limousines for the rest of the day.
